Time was when Marikina
was just known as a "SHOE" manufacturing town North
of Metro Manila. For the past decade or two, it has
been transformed to Marikina City, a clean, orderly
and highly urbanized community, well-managed by the
local government which has provided its constituents
with practically all the necessities of good living
and healthy environment. Undeniably, the rapid and
enormous economic growth of this Shoe Capital of the
Philippines owes much to its dynamic leadership and
compliant constituents. Unfortunately however, a
hospital of the caliber of those in the neighboring
cities of Metro Manila had yet to emerge for Marikina to truly become an ideal location for
industry, business and home.
Cognizant of this need, a group of medical
professionals and hospital entrepreneurs conceived
of bringing personalized quality healthcare within
reach by opening Marikina Valley Medical Center,
a modern tertiary hospital. As an integral part of a
progressive community and to complement the local
government's achievement, the hospital offers a new
definition in community living, providing an
alternative of convenience and comfort to everyone
through the amenities of state-of-the-art medical
equipment and facilities and a staff of fully
trained medical specialists committed and dedicated
to service.
Marikina Valley Medical Center, an impressive
7-storey twin-structure edifice designed elegantly
with features and ambiance of a luxury hotel, stands
on a 2,060 sq. m. lot along Sumulong Highway corner
Aguinaldo St., Barangay Sto. Nino, with a floor area
of approximately 6,000 sq. m. The left wing houses
the fully air-conditioned out-patient department
designed for patient convenience and comfort. The
right wing houses the in-patients with about 100
beds, also fully air-conditioned. It likewise has
complete laboratory and diagnostic facilities, 6
operating rooms, 2 delivery rooms, NICU, an ICU, a
rehabilitation unit and dialysis section. Our
emergency room is spacious and well-equipped. As in
any modern tertiary hospital, the services are
departmentalized, with more than 200 medical and
dental specialists and competent ancillary staff.
The building further boast of a conference room and
library in line with our vision to be a teaching
hospital in the near future.
With more than a decade of successful management of
several hospitals by the people behind this project,
there is reason for optimism for the advancement of
this institution. Let us therefore look forward to
the enhancement of the quality of life of the people
we are committed to serve as embodied in our mission
and vision.
